After you have filled in some basic information about yourself, you can choose your basic preferences when it comes to units. You should pick the one that gas stations in your local area uses, so that when you fill in information from your gas reciepts you don't have to convert from one to the other.
Preferred volume units lets you choose whether you want to add fill-ups using litres, US gallons or Imperial gallons.
Preferred distance units lets you choose whether you want to add fill-ups using kilometers or miles.
Preferred mileage units lets you choose whether you want your mileage information shown in litres per 100km, miles per US gallon or miles per Imperial gallon. This means that if you live in a region (i.e. Canada) where you fill up in litres, and drive in kilometers, you can still choose to view your mileage in MPG.
Preferred currency lets you choose the currency of your country or area. If your currency is not listed, you can choose a custom one by selecting other and typing in the symbol or code for your currency
You can change your settings easily at any point after you sign up by logging in and using the Edit Settings link in the menu.
